Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HOSA Hub (“the Hub,” “the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Hub.

2. Description of Service

The Hub provides a private chapter workspace, a competitive-event practice library with cited practice questions and flashcards, and (where enabled) AI-assisted question generation from official HOSA guidelines. The Service is provided “as is” and is under continuous development.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post or submit unlawful, harmful, or objectionable content.
• Reproduce, upload, or otherwise share secured or live HOSA competition exam content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, another user's account, or another chapter's workspace.
• Use the Service to facilitate cheating in any HOSA competitive event.
• Disrupt or interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service.

4. Chapter Roles & Responsibilities

Advisors and officers are responsible for managing their own chapter's roster, reviewing member-submitted content, and moderating their chapter's workspace. Members are responsible for the accuracy of content they submit and for keeping their account credentials private.

5. Intellectual Property

The Hub's own content, design, and code are the property of the Hub and its contributors. The HOSA name and logo are trademarks of HOSA-Future Health Professionals; the Hub is an independent chapter tool and is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by HOSA, Inc.

6. AI-Assisted Content Disclaimer

Practice questions, explanations, and flashcards generated with AI assistance are a supplementary study aid only, never official HOSA competition material, and never a guarantee of what will appear on any future exam. Always verify against the official guidelines.

7. Not Medical, Legal, or Career Advice

The Hub is a study and chapter-management tool for students. Its content, including AI-assisted practice questions and explanations about anatomy, pharmacology, patient care, and other clinical topics, is provided for educational and competition-practice purposes only. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a licensed healthcare professional. Never use the Hub to make a decision about your own or anyone else's health, and never delay seeking professional medical care because of something you read here. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately.

Similarly, nothing on the Hub is legal, financial, or professional career advice.

8. Fees and Refunds

The Hub is currently free to use. We do not collect payments, store payment card details, or charge subscription fees, so there is nothing to refund. If we ever introduce paid features, we will publish pricing and a refund policy before charging anyone, and we will not convert an existing free account into a paid one without your explicit agreement.

9. Member Content and Reporting

Members can post content to the Hub, including practice questions, study notes, flashcards, announcements, and messages. You keep ownership of what you post, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it so the Hub can function. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

Do not post content that:

• infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
• reproduces secured or live HOSA competition exam material;
• is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or threatening;
• contains another person's private information without their permission;
• is otherwise unlawful.

If you believe content on the Hub infringes your rights or violates these Terms, email hosahub@gmail.com with a link to the content and a description of the problem. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts. Copyright owners may send a notice identifying the work, the material to be removed, their contact details, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized.

10. Termination and Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Account settings, which removes your profile and personal activity. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, including one used to share secured competition material or to harass other members.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Hub and its contributors aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Hub will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and we each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

If you are a minor, please review these Terms with a parent or guardian. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer-protection laws of the state where you live.
